Working out regularly and hard, while not eating meat leaves me in a constant search for low fat sources of quality protein. After having tried numerous whey powders I finally resigned to the idea that I'm intolerant to whey (not to dairy, though). I decided to try egg and not having many options went with this product. It seems to give me what I was looking for - a low fat quality protein. I take it after workouts and seem to recover much faster with no muscle soreness and more strength and energy the next day. The taste, however was a bit of a let down. To be accurate, the product doesn't really have any taste. The issue is that the powder does not dissolve fully no matter how long I run the blender. Every time I take a gulp, I feel like I'm swallowing powdered cement. Well its not quite that bad, but the powder taste is there and it is somewhat bothersome. I blend it with yogurt and mixed frozen berries and it is certainly tolerable. Mixing a serving into 2 glasses of water, yogurt or milk may help. It doesn't bother me enough to experiment, but I'm not finicky about tastes. Though not perfect, I will order again.
Edited review: after trying other egg proteins i've accepted that egg powder just doesn't dissolve very well. unfortunately that's just nature of the beast. i find that the colder the water the worse it's solubility. it mixes perfectly in warm water, so add it into coffee if i'm drinking it anyway. just like powder creamer! It's nothing but protein with no additives and is exactly what i'm looking for. I'd give it 5 stars

this is no longer unsweetened, it has stevia and contains 4 grams of carbs per serving so its incorrectly labled as 0 carbs on in the items description.
i dont know why they changed it, it used to be great the way it was, im sorry i ordered it.

They have now added stevia and ruined it,

I am so sorry to say that I think they have **RUINED** this product with the addition of stevia. The stevia gives it a bitter taste while you're drinking it, and then after you're finished, you have the bitter after-taste! I was SO disappointed in this product as I was looking for a whey protein alternative and this one sounded so great and healthy, and totally unsweetened (all sites on the net -including the company itself- are still listing this product as it was once before, with no sweetener/stevia at all in it; but when you receive the product in the mail, the label now has stevia listed). The stevia makes it taste horrible, and in addition, in spite of the fact that everything you read about stevia says it has no bad effects of any sort on anyone, it does not agree with me. It seems to act in a way like sugar by later making my blood sugar level drop. The worst thing of all is that this company is not transparent at all, but rather just seems to change their products at any time and then not make that new information readily available. I have to wonder if the reason they decided to add the stevia may have been because of people contacting them saying they wanted it to taste sweet. They also never responded to two different messages I sent them asking about this change. Anyway, I'm really sorry I bought this, and I'll stay away from this company from now on.

I can't have whey protein because it upsets my stomach quite a bit, but this stuff is awesome! I mix a few tablespoons with milk in the morning and have a great tasting protein shake to start my day. Using this stuff and working out I've put on a noticeable amount of muscle and would recommend it to anyone looking for an alternative to the whey proteins.

I've been using this product for about a month now. I just mix it up with frozen berries and some fruit juice. Tastes just fine and has all the stuff in it it's supposed to.

Two Thumbs Up,
By Noturningback (Seattle Metro - WA) - See all my reviews Very pleased with this product. Help for those with milk allergies - or without - get some extra protein. Tastes good. Mixes well. My one slight gripe is that mine came with a mild vanilla flavor. I enjoy vanilla but, was expecting it unflavored.
