It also contains vitamin C which helps the body absorb iron better.

I am very anemic without daily supplementation, but I always stopped taking the pills after awhile because they upset my stomach and made me constipated.

Based on my doctor's advice, I would highly recommend Vitron-C to anyone with anemia.

This was referred to me by a gastric bypass surgeon. I have had horrible problems keeping my iron levels up with ferrous sulfate. I was going in for venofer infusions every three months and exhausted all the time. Since taking these once a day for two years, my iron levels have been normal.

This product was recommended to me for anemia by a physician and it's phenomenal. It replaces the iron storage levels (without constipation) and within a week I felt an enormous jump in energy.

Because I am anemic I've been on many different forms of iron supplements in hopes of keeping my iron levels up. This is the first iron I've tried that has been gentle on my digestive tract, given me energy and actually improved my iron levels. I will forever purchase this brand!

These are the only Iron pills I have EVER found (and I've tried a million of them) that have not upset my stomach and made me miserable. Everyone reacts differently to each Iron compound so if you have had problems in the past, I would suggest buying just one box and trying them. They work very well for me on an empty stomach.
Amazon has the best price of anyone I could find and I looked long and hard too!

I'm anemic genetically - so I'm always tired constantly. I've been on a search for a good Iron supplement that will not keep me constipated, nor make my stomach feel sick. I'm currently pregnant, so I need to double up on the Iron (per my OB), and was recommended Vitron C. Well, I had been taking these tablets for over one month, and everyday I feel sick to my stomach, and get these weird 'burps' with a horrible aftertaste(kind of like when you take fish oil and get fish burps)I really wanted to have a good result with these supplements, but I think it may just not have suited me. I switched to Bifera, which is expensive, but it works. Constipation went away, energy levels went up, and Iron levels went up. Also, I just feel much better not having those awful Iron Burps! ;-)

This product is great. It is works very well in delivering iron to the body, while not causing the constipation problem that is normally associated with iron pills.

Does not cause stomach upset.

Overall a winner!

I purchased Vitron-C while on vacation because I had forgotten to bring the iron supplement that I usually take. Wow. The stars were aligned for me at that moment (or something) to have found this product. I have tried all sorts of iron supplements, from over the counter to prescription, and this one does not cause any gastrointestinal discomfort for me at all. Which for me is a big deal. The intestinal pains I would get from the other iron supplements I tried would often lead me not wanting to take my iron. It also contains vitamin C which helps the body absorb iron better. When I started this my ferritin level was at 7, and after two months of taking this my ferittin was at 30. Unfortunately, I stopped taking it and my ferritin went down to 22. I am now taking it again, with a goal of getting my ferritin above 50, which I was told by several doctors was optimal for many of my health problems. I also take a b vitamin supplement as my doctor said it is good take this in conjunction with the iron.

I was headed for iron infusions as no supplement was working during my pregnancy to raise levels. These worked in three weeks! So happy these helped me avoid a procedure like iron infusions.
