I have been horrified to find the container where I keep my kitty's food a black swarming mass of ants. I like to buy pet food in bulk, as it's cheaper. But it takes a big container to hold it all. And most big containers aren't air tight. The Vittle Vault is like a dream, and a major play in my battle against the ants. The lid fits very snug with a rubber lining on the inside to keep the nasty pests out. And the screw on top, for easy daily access, also has a snug rubber lined fit. This is the best solution I've found for these problems, and I would recommend it to anyone else in a heartbeat!

I looked at many pet food storage containers prior to deciding on the Vittles Vault II. Although all the options seemed a bit pricey to me, the quality of the Vittles Vault II was by far the best. The container is very sturdy, not flimsy at all. It has rubber seals around both the outter edge and the inner twist off lid, sealing far better than any other brand I looked at. We purchased the 40 lb. size, which does not quite fit a 37.5 lb. bag of Purina Pro Plan. I like the tall, slender design which saves floor space.

I purchased the Vittles Vault II to neatly store a 40 lb bag of dog food, and it does that perfectly. It is the best. Easily, I am able to put my hand and scoop in the large opening and I can unscrew and replace the top with one hand, since I am normally holding the dog's bowl in the other. I like it so much that I intend to purchase more of this item to store potting soil, peat moss and other large bag items I use to keep my garage neat and tidy.

I got a few of these to hold my bulk grains and could not be more pleased. They don't have any off odor, seal tightly and hold most full sacks of grain or about 50lbs. I wish they were a bit less money but they work so well I still give them 5 stars.

The Vittles Vault is so handy. My 40 lb bag of dog food fits perfectly in the container, but all the bugs are kept out! The only problem is that there's no good way to carry it.

We grew tired of the 40 pound bag of dog food sitting on the sunporch, calling out to all the pests in the backyard, informing the dog that food was nearby, and being a general eyesore to us and our guests. I searched high and low locally for something that would work - but all either had flimsy construction, a poor lid, or were too small to hold an entire bag of food! This item fits the bill perfectly.

Yays:
- Holds an entire 40 pound bag of food, without needing to keep the bag for the "little bit extra" that doesn't fit
- Seals very tight, with ONE HAND. Invaluable when trying to keep the dog from going nuts while still trying to close the food
- Looks pretty decent in the corner, and doesn't take up much floor space
- Since it's somewhat clear, it's easy to tell when I need to go buy more dog food. I'm not peering in guessing.
- Not too deep, so I can reach the bottom without getting my arms/chest/head filthy with dog food bits

Nays:
- None to speak of. This is a great item.

This is a very good product. It holds a large bag of dog food and it stays bug free. With the clear base you can see at a glance if you need more dog food. The lid screws off easily enough my kids can easily feed the dog and the food stays fresh. Definitely recommend this product.

I now have three vittles vaults in various sizes and I am quite satisfied with their products. I would definitely recommend them.

We were keeping the dog food in our pantry, and I hated the smell of it. Now with these, the smell stays inside the container. They keep the food fresh, and the best part is my pantry doesn't smell like dog food now. A little pricey, but well worth it.

Very sturdy and attractive alternative to the ripped big bag of dog food! Great for keeping food fresh.
