5.0 out of 5 stars Very nice song
I think this is a beautiful yet sad song, and very nice to listen to. You don't have to like the Spice Girls to love this song...I think it's for everyone...very moving.

3.0 out of 5 stars A guilty pleasure
I am by no means a Spice Girl fan. I always thought they were a joke...a really bad joke. However I must admit that the girl group put out the occasional catchy song that I can't get out of my head. "Viva Forever" is the only decent song that the group churned out. "Viva Forever" is a stunning piano ballad that just didn't catch on with US audiences...

I am by no means a Spice Girl fan. I always thought they were a joke...a really bad joke. However I must admit that the girl group put out the occasional catchy song that I can't get out of my head. "Viva Forever" is the only decent song that the group churned out. "Viva Forever" is a stunning piano ballad that just didn't catch on with US audiences back in '98. I really didn't want to waste several bucks on an album full of annoying pop ditties so I opted to get the import single for the song (note to US record companies: bring back the singles format!). Unlike on the group's previous singles, The Spice Girls don't try to overcompensate their minimal vocal talents (with the exception of Melanie C.) by oversinging. I really didn't enjoy the Tony Rich remix of "Viva Forever". I thought the remix took away the lovely melodies and the melancholy feel of the song. The instrumental was even more pointless and useless. If "Viva Forever" was to be remixed, I would have wanted it to be remixed as a dance song by Hex Hector, like he did with Melanie C.'s "I Turn to You" (from her debut solo album "Northern Star").

5.0 out of 5 stars Harmonies are excellent, my how the Spice Girls have grown!, February 17, 1999
By A Customer
This review is from: Viva Forever [UK CD2] (Audio CD)
VIVA FOREVER is one of those songs that have the Lyrics and the music to stay in your head for days! The harmonies are rich and the production is great and not overpowering. Most important, it is real and the charts need more Pop hits such as this . "GOODBYE" continues this trend with similar structure and hooks, and I continue to try and pick out "thats MEL B" OR "HEY 'Tor's got a great voice". Its on Heavy Rotation at my home.

5.0 out of 5 stars Viva Forever is a wonderful CD!, September 3, 2001
By
This review is from: Viva Forever [UK CD2] (Audio CD)
I bought this CD used for $4.99 and I think it's a great CD.

TRACK 1 - VIVA FOREVER: It is the perfect song when you're sad, or you just feel like a soft song. It is very relaxing.

TRACK 2 - VIVA FOREVER-TONY RICH REMIX: It is a beautifully mixed version of the title track. One you've listened to it enough, and learned where the song starts and stuff, you can sing along to...

TRACK 3 - VIVA FOREVER-TONY RICH INSTRUMENTAL: At first, I though it was stupid because it should be instrumental version of track 1 - not track 2. But once you've listened to Track 2 alot, you find out where the song starts and stuff and you can sing along to Viva Forever!

TRACK 4 - INTERACTIVE VIDEO: It is a really nice program for your computer. Includes a song (where it shows the lyrics - click on each line and it will start from that line, so you can make your own spicejam with Viva Forever), Exclusive pictures (5 of them show the actual Spice Girls, the other 5 show drawings of the "viva forever fairies"), Video, and Credits.

I highly recommend this CD to you.

1.0 out of 5 stars Viva Forever? I think not., February 14, 1999
By A Customer
This song is sooo slow. It has some meaningless lyrics that don't make sense at all. The video is even worse. No wonder Geri left them.

5.0 out of 5 stars A Spice ballad?You better believe it!, January 4, 1999
By A Customer
This is probably one of the girls most origanal songs and a fan favorite being that it was Geri's last video, single,so on.The message is much deeper than most of their songs. It's about those special people in your life that you only knew for a short time but have forever changed you.The melody is beautiful and haunting and the vocals are unusually good. This song shows both a softer and truelly talented side of the Spice Girls.A good song not only for Spice fans but anyone who likes beautiful ballads.

5.0 out of 5 stars A Special Song, December 31, 1998
By A Customer
I think that Viva 4 Ever is a very special song. When I first heard it, I thought it might be dedicated for Geri. When you say Viva, you might mistake it for We are. If you do, it'll sound like We are forever. Anyway, I think it's a really special song as it is one of their best songs.

5.0 out of 5 stars SOOOOO Awesome, November 21, 1998
By A Customer
This review is from: Viva Forever [UK CD2] (Audio CD)
It is one of the best songs they have made, it was also Ginger's last song recorded with them so that makes it even better. The song really has meaning, it is a good song yet it is kinda sad. The one with the fairies on it is an enhanced CD so it has a system in it for your CD-ROM drive. There is no difference in the way the two are, just the covers. It is also a good video.
