More of the same from SimBin, which is not really a bad thing,

First of all this is really just another standalone expansion pack for Race 07. The new cars and tracks feature some enhancements and graphical tweaks and look decent, but the engine is showing its age. They did a good job spicing it up a bit, though. The driving is more of the same from SimBin's Race titles which focuses on finesse and realism. If you have played GTR 2, Race 07 etc. then you know what to expect here: unforgiving driving mechanics, although Race On seems to be slightly more forgiving than past releases. The US muscle and street cars add some flavor, they sound great and are fun to drive. Mild powersliding is actually somewhat of an option with them and drifting seems a bit easier than past Race titles, but the game still manages to be a very challenging racing simulation, rewards precise driving, and is probably best enjoyed with a good racing wheel. Of course the game contains many, many cars including Formula and a ton of tracks to race on like all the Race titles.
This package contains: Race 07: The Official WTCC Game STCC The Game (xpac) Race On (xpac) It DOES NOT contain GTR Evolution, so if you want to drive any of the cars from Evo, race on Nürburgring or play the "R-cade Extreme" gameplay mode, obviously you will need to buy that expansion (it's available on Steam as well as Race On). You will need to install the Steam version from the disc if you want to play multiplayer, but if you aren't interested in online play or don't like Steam, there is an offline install option. Overall I would recommend this package. It is a nice addition to a solid, tried and true racing formula. However, don't expect anything revolutionary and if you already own Race 07 and STCC just be aware of what you are paying for.

New cars and tracks are fun, but is it time for SimBim to make a brand new game?,

As you might have guessed from the product description, this is a standalone expansion pack to the Race 07 game. Exactly as advertised, it adds more cars and tracks and other than that, I did not notice any real change in graphics, controls or anything else from GTR Evolution (previous expansion).
It's definitely fun to be able to race the new cars on the new tracks, but I personally feel like it's time for SimBim to make another game already. Milking the Race 07 series will only get them so far, meanwhile the market for a brand new hardcore racer sim is wide open and sim fans are really tired of waiting.

Well worth the $7 price,

I've run track days in my 4th generation Camaro and I think the Race On program feels as real as a computer can make it. I wish the breaking signs at Road America were a little larger because they are easier to see in real life. I have played the game for 2 weeks now but never run any track other then Road America so I can't comment on the other tracks. I bought it specifically because it has a track and a car that I know very well and it's runs on PC. The only con I have seen so far is I am disappointed in the 4th gen Camaros in the game. If mine drove like a marshmallow the way the game does I would never take it out on the track. I've messed with the car set up plenty but just can't dial it in. The 09 camaros in the game are much closer to the way real world Camaros behave on the track. But my favorite car is the Chevrolet Lacetti. The Lacetti has just a bit more grip then my real Camaro so I back the rear bar off and over fill the fuel tank and I feel right at home in it. The F1 and 09 track Camaro are fun too but so much faster then my real car I don't play them much. The bottom line is the game was only $7.00 I would have been satisfied at 5 times the price so I highly recommend it.
