Product Description

From Children's Software Revue® -- "Subscribe Now!"

The fairy tales of Little Red Riding Hood, Snow White, and Hansel and Gretel are told in this set of animated storybooks. To move the story along, kids must click on hidden arrows found in each screen of the stories. If they click on the wrong pathway, the stories' characters may end up in the wrong place. For instance, Little Red Riding might run into Hansel and Gretel's parents, who eat all her grandmother's food and leave poor Little Red Riding Hood permanently lost in the woods.

The illustrations and narration are nicely done, but the program suffers from a slow pace and limited play value. When the stories get mixed up, they end too suddenly. The purpose of searching for the hidden arrow wasn't clear to test families and resulted in a lot of "hey moms" during play.

Amazon.com Product Description

Snow White flees to the seven dwarves, Little Red Riding Hood meets the big bad wolf, and Hansel and Gretel end up in the hands of the evil witch. Or, that's the way it has been until now. In this interactive software, you choose what happens next to your favorite fairy tale characters. So, take care as you play: Hansel and Gretel could meet the wolf, Little Red Riding Hood might end up with the dwarves, and Snow White may gnaw at the gingerbread house until it collapses.

1.0 out of 5 stars AVOID, April 10, 2001

This review is from: Snow White and the Seven Hansels (Video Game)
I feel a compelled to warn all parents that the content in this software is far too graphic for children. The fairy tales are completely altered and disturbing. In one setting a hunter cuts own the stomach of a wolf to remove Little Red Riding Hood and her Grandmother. Although you don't witness the carnage, the mental picture is distrubing. I trashed my copy within a day.
