About the Author

Edna Bautista holds a doctoral degree in higher education and is certified as a wedding specialist by Weddings Beautiful Worldwide, a division of the National Bridal Service. She has worked as a bridal consultant and now serves on the editorial board of AMERICAN BRIDE magazine. Dr. Bautista coordinates the Journalism and Mass Communications Program at Tulsa Community College in Tulsa, Oklahoma where she makes her home.

THANK GOODNESS FOR EDNA R. BAUTISTA. ALTHOUGH I WAS BORN TO MEXICAN AMERICAN PARENTS I KNEW NOTHING OF THE CUSTOMS. MY FIANCE IS FROM NAYARIT MEXICO AND IS VERY TRADITIONAL. WITH THE HELP OF THIS BOOK I AM BETTER ABLE TO UNDERSTAND SOME OF THE CUSTOMS WHICH I WAS UNAWARE OF OR THAT HE COULDN'T ADEQUATELY EXPLAIN TO ME. THE BOOK BEING IN BOTH LANGUAGES ALSO AIDED HIM IN KNOWING EXACTLY WHAT WE SHOULD BE DOING NOW AND THAT THERE IS A GREAT DEAL OF PLANNING INVOLVED IN A BEAUTIFUL WEDDING. HURRAH FOR EDNA. I AM SURE THERE ARE OTHERS LIKE ME WHO HAVE BEEN HUNTING FOR A BOOK LIKE THIS.
