The Best Children's Guide Ever,
By Yackobatz (Pennsylvania) - See all my reviews
This review is from: VivaVenice: A Guide to Exploring, learning and Having Fun (CuriosaMente) (Paperback)
Seriously, this book for children is enchanting. It is truly a guide for children with ideas for itineraries (on sunny and rainy days, too). Generous, original color illustrations accompany explanations everything about Venice in an accessible and interesting manner. There are charming legends, illustrated descriptions of the different kinds of boats, sea life, and animals of Venice. Furthermore, there are little puzzles of all kinds to while away a few minutes here or there. Do not hesitate to buy this book that will engage even adults with all the interesting facts and places.

I highly recommend this book - we live in italy and have every guide imaginable for adults and children, but we loved this book. My daughter, who is six, entertained our whole group of 7 adults and teenagers on our last trip to venice with fun facts and tidbits. It's interactive - much more creative than just a coloring/activity book. It is designed to become a scrapbook of your trip as well. I learned things I never knew! I think kids up to 12 would enjoy using the book, and their companion adults will be amazed at how much fun they have learning the history and culture of Venice.
