Every artist has their opportunity to display their professional skill and the group creates a magical sound for this unforgetable music. A real joy to listen to.

More Priest! Less Pope!,
This review is from: Vivaldi: The 4 Seasons (Audio CD)
I used to think that I could play the recorder. After hearing the phenomenal talent of Piers Adams, not so much. He and the rest of this group of brilliant musicians have given me a greater appreciation for the music of the baroque and renaissance periods as well as a much healthier respect for the recorder, an instrument that gets taken for granted as a child's learning toy. In the hands of a master like Adams, it rivals any modern flute and has a much sweeter, dusky tone.
Thanks to Amazon for making this and the other albums available -- I've been looking for Red Priest recordings for years in conventional venues without much luck. Amazon, you still need to get RP's "The Four Seasons" into the MP3 catalog!

Dreadful...,

It was a painful experience to listen to this disc. What were these musicians thinking? Absolute cornball schlock. Vivaldi's music is twisted and tormented in every way possible. The Corelli too is reduced to contemptuous parody of the original.
