As a New Englander, I have always reveled in the passing of the seasons, and this music provides a perfect soundtrack to the wonders of nature. My mother has another version of this Vivaldi masterpiece by Itzhak Pearlman, but honestly I think this recording is better and more enjoyable. The three extra concertos for violin included on this disc are real treats, especially the Concerto for 2 violins in A minor. The liner notes also include the sonnets Vivaldi wrote to accompany his music, which I think are really fascinating. This may be a cheap cd, but it has the sound quality of a world class recording!

This is a great version of Vivaldi's Four Seasons. Each movement is played with great passion and expression. Whenever I hear this beautiful piece (or four pieces, rather!), I can see the seasons change in my imagination, as each song unfolds in its glory. Right now, as we are working through the tail end of our winter season, in Seattle, listening to Spring and Summer, especially, remind me that the sun will return (hopefully) in just a few short months. The Four Seasons is, at once, jubilant, and full of haunting reflection. This particular version melds great, heightened notes, accented by smoothly interwoven melody. Lovely.

What do we have here? Gorgeous interpretations of some of the most popular of Handel's works. The technical quality of the recording is superb. Oh yeah, and it's practically free.

I've always appreciated Vivaldi's "Spring," but wanted the entire Four Seasons Concerto. This CD delivers! Not only does this CD contain the entire Four Seasons Concerto, it also includes 3 other violin/cello concertos written by Vivaldi - and they are beautiful!

The recording is crisp, the violins intense and beautiful, and the rendering is very well done. This is a recording that one can either have playing in the background, or just sit and listen to and imagine the changing seasons while in their own home. Beautiful!

I brought a few of these and gave them as Christmas gifts. For the price, the quality of recording is very very good. Imagine someone who has never heard Vivaldi before popping this CD in and being completely subdued by the famous La Primavera (Allegro). The feeling is simply great. As you hear the very first track, you can't help but imagine trees and meadows springing back to life. You can feel the daffodils blooming and can see the grass green and smell the earth after a spring shower. And I'm just talking about the first track. Allow the music to carry you and it will take you through the four seasons. The performance does justice to the great composition. A great buy and a must have in your classical music collection.

I thoroughly enjoy classical music. I am really enjoying The 4 Seasons by Vivaldi. There are also some concertos he wrote on the same CD. I really enjoy the sound quality the CD has and I would recommend this CD to anyone who enjoys Vivaldi. It is an excellent CD.

This is a delightful, solid, affordable recording.

I am not a connoisseur of classical music by any means. I just needed something to drown out the other noise in the office and a coworker lent me this CD. I am definitely buying it; the music is beautiful! Very upbeat and perfect for helping me focus on my work.

My whole family loves this CD, great composition, powerful violins, I highly recomened this composer.

my 3 year old daugter and me listen to it every night before bed.
