A very nice introduction to Vivaldi,
By Kurt A. Johnson (North-Central Illinois, USA) - See all my reviews (HALL OF FAME REVIEWER) (VINE VOICE) (TOP 100 REVIEWER) (REAL NAME)
This review is from: Vivaldi (The Great Composers Series) (Hardcover)
This book is a wonderful biography of Antonio Vivaldi, following his life from his birth in Venice, through to his impoverished death in Vienna, at the age of 63. It looks somewhat thin, but the creators of this book have crammed it full with many colorful pictures, making it an excellent introduction to the life of Vivaldi. All of the highlights of his career are covered, as are many of the events in his personal life. Overall, I found this to be a very nice introduction to Vivaldi, one that will hold the attention of any reader. I thoroughly enjoyed this book, and highly recommend it to you.
