I have never been more disappointed in sheet music,

I was so excited to finally find piano sheet music for Vivaldi's The Four Seasons, but I really only wanted it for one season, Summer, the shining diamond of the entire song in my opinion. When I received it I immediately rushed over to the piano but it didn't take longer than 20 seconds to realize what a huge disappointment this sad excuse for sheet music was.This booklet contains only "selected" parts of The Four Seasons, and to my astonishment the only part of Summer they included was Part II Adagio, a slow moving melody which is still very nice but doesn't represent the Summer that we are all familiar with, the fierce and moving melody of Part III Presto. I know The Four Seasons is really a song for stringed instruments, so maybe it's difficult to transcribe it for piano. But I'm still on the hunt for it. The booklet itself is more of a flimsy pamphlet, and the cover is a black and white photocopy on manila-colored cardstock and NOT the colorful picture they show here on Amazon. Oh well, maybe I was expecting too much for 10 bucks.

I was playing for a wedding and, at the last minute, the bride requested Vivaldi's Spring from The Four Seasons as the recessional to be played solo on piano. I was very happy with this simplified version. It was difficult enough to still sound professional, yet not so complicated that I could not prepare it quickly. The bride and groom were very pleased, and I was happy that they were happy. Win-win.
