This review is from: Vivekacudamani of Sri Sankaracarya : Text, With English Translation, Notes and Index (Paperback)
Shankaracarya is quoted in the Nityasutrani. Wanting to learn more about this yoga master, I ordered this book and Shankara's Crest-Jewel of Discrimination. I am glad that I did. Vivekacudamani can be a little difficult to comprehend on the first reading. The 2nd book is a simpler translation for the Westerner to understand. The second reading of Vivekacudamani was then easier to understand. I give both books 5 stars. This book has components of the Bhagavad Gita and the Yoga Sutras in the value of Discrimination and Renunciation.
