5.0 out of 5 stars Take A Tour on the Titanic and Change History!
This game is so intriguing and so realistic I found myself rushing to my computer after work to play it. 3.0 out of 5 stars Good Graphics, Okay Game
I think exploring the Titanic on the computer is a lot of fun. The graphics are excellent, and you do sort of feel like you are really there. Some of the rooms are very exquisitely decorated, and it's neat to walk out on the deck.

I think the game is okay, as adventure games go. Pro: The story is pretty good. It progresses at a pretty good pace. Cons: The navigation is...

This game is so intriguing and so realistic I found myself rushing to my computer after work to play it. In this game, you're free to tour the famous ship: the gymnasium, wireless room, smoking room, cabins, Turkish bath, even the engine, turbine, and boiler rooms and the top of the last smoke stack! You get to meet all sorts of characters, from social debutantes to a Serbian revolutionist. Listen to what they say. Each character gives you clues that will help you solve the game. In solving the game, you will perform tasks like sending a wireless, developing negatives, and decoding messages. It is a game that requires strategy, observation, and thought. Try out your ideas-they may work. My advice is to save this game often as you're playing and several times at various stages so you can return to a spot when you think you've figured something out. This game is not difficult, but does take time and thought. Don't give up, it's worth it in the end. As a former history major, I appreciate the period items you find on the ship (including a wax-cylinder gramophone which was a bit out of date even for the Titanic) and the lessons you get in the events that led to the First World War. You won't be able to save the Titanic, but you might be able to change history by altering the past. I also recommend the book "Titanic Adventure Out of Time Hints and Solutions" not just to solve the game (you may be able to solve it without it) but as an interesting supplement to the historical and scientific themes of the game.

I think the game is okay, as adventure games go. Pro: The story is pretty good. It progresses at a pretty good pace. Cons: The navigation is a bit difficult in some rooms. Also, this is one of those games where you spend a lot of time interacting with characters, and choosing from a list of responses. Like many adventure games with video, some of the acting is not stellar.

I think this game is worth buying if you like to explore, and are intrigued by the Titanic story.

4.0 out of 5 stars Very intresting!!!!, February 14, 2004

I first got this game when the traveling Titanic museum came to Chicago and they were selling it. It's been a while, but it never ceases to amaze and entertain me.
Yeah, it freezes sometimes but if you save it often, you'll be okay.

As a Titanic buff I can tell you that the detail- down to the tiles on the floor and china- are accurate.

The game has many twists and turns and you have many different options, which makes the playing never get old or boring.
The theme music is kinda freaky though- esp. when the Titanic is sinking beneath your feet and you can't jump anywhere, you're running about like a chicken with his head cut off! That is why I always turn the theme music off. The game always makes me rather nervous- the people you meet *cough, Vlad, Zeitel* can be a bit weird and intimadating, esp. when their trying to kill you. The game is almost erie (sp?) It's very fun though and I would reccomend it to anyone with a slight intrest in Titanic or history.
I promise you- by the time you are done playing this game for the first time, you will have a much better understanding and a different kind of sympathy for the people there on that fateful night.
Also, to get in the "Titanic" mood, rent the two Titanic movies!!! Very fun!

The best advice I could give you is to save before any kind of meeting with Vlad and/or Zeitel. PLEASE, JUST DO IT!!! Believe me. I learned the hard way.

I would like for readers to know that this is an review for Titanic: Adventure Out of Time. This means that I am not rating/reviewing any other item that may be included in this product. Thanks

Cyberflix has outdone themselves. Titanic is a masterpiece. I am a Titanic buff and eveny I found it to be a marvel. Titanic has rerisen. The wonderful graphics almost deserve to be on Playstation2. The charcters I found to be really realistic. Like in other adventure games like Oregon Trail 2 they just move their mouthes. But every thing else is still. In Titanic, everything moves. When they move their hand the clothing has ripples and their skin moves just like a human. You also get to say what you want not just what the computer player has to say. BUY THIS! The only error I had was it froze and I couldn't find a patch for it that worked. That is the only reason for it to have 4 stars.

Rating Titanic: Adventure Out of Time

Graphics 10/10
Realistic Enviorment* 10/10
Realistic Characters 10/10
Easy Controls 10/10
Suspense & Other Action 10/10
Errors & Other Problems~ 4/10

*REALISTIC ENVIORMENT IS HOW REALISTIC THE ENVIORMENT AROUND YOU IS. EXAMPLE: The door frames or details on the lifts etc.

~ERRORS & OTHER PROBLEMS ARE BASED ON HOW MANY ERRORS I OCCURRED. EXAMPLE: Freezing during gameplay. This is a great annoyence when playing an adventure game. This counts as a lot of points!!!

5.0 out of 5 stars Titanic: Adventure, June 16, 2003
This review is from: The Ultimate Titanic Collection (CD-ROM)
This has to be, without a doubt, the best computer game I have ever played- better, even, than the "Sims". Although I have only played "Titanic, Adventure Out of Time", and not the extra CD-Rom, I must saw that "Adventure" is unabatedly amazing. You are Frank Carlson, a British secret service agent (cough::Bond::cough) who has been dismissed after a failure on the "titanic mission" in the midst of WWII. However, a German bomb blows you back into the Titanic, where you get one more chance to complete your mission, and stop WWI, WWII, and the Russian Revolution. The graphics of the Titanic were detailed and excellent, while the characters were so realistic in movement and speech that one could not believe that they were AI (I nearly cried at a favorite character's death). The best part about this game, though, is the way that history and seemingly small actions can save the world from war. The way that WWII is stopped is particularly funny. While this game is hard and requires many "getting objects quickly" scenarios, every object, if lost, has a backup way. I know at least one way to win in which you participate in the optional Georgia-poison subplot, but there must be many more. Good luck aboard the Titanic!

PS: You may find yourself playing this game over and over, just to find different ways to win. This is completely normal

I have Titanic Adventure Out Of Time, and it's so much fun!! It's so realistic too. The only reason I gave it 4 stars is because it always freezes on me if I go too fast. I have to make my character go around the ship really slowly, and save my game every 3 minutes, which is really annoying. Other than that, it's a fantastic game! =)

5.0 out of 5 stars An Exceptional and somewhat frightening game!, June 1, 2003

This review is from: The Ultimate Titanic Collection (CD-ROM)
"Titanic, Adventure out of time" is a wonderful game with beautiful graphics! You can meet Many characters from the elegant first class residents like Georgia Lambeth, to the poor less fortunate third class like Jack Hacker, you even meet up with a stowaway at some points in the game, some aren't so pleasant (i.e. when you get into a fight with him trying to get up the smokestack). All the people give you loads of information, except for the Gorse Jones's from Othwhistle or some other city, all they do is tell you useless info about shops and people who own Macy's or something. While some of the characters are very friendly and fun, some are absolutely terrifying, the one that I think just makes your hair stand on end is Vlad the stowaway. Your boss Penny Pringle will really help you on your journey. As will Leyland Trask, the psychic reader. I would really recommend this to anybody who loves the Titanic and/or history. I hope my review was helpful!

"Adventure Out of Time" is one of the most fun games I've ever played. The Titanic has always been very interesting to me. This game really develops thinking skills. I enjoyed helping other people, and getting off the ship was very hard!
