Great Spanish vrsion of Bocelli's Hits Plus some new songs., November 25, 2007
This review is from: Vivere: Lo Mejor de Andrea Bocelli [CD+DVD] (Audio CD)
Andrea Bocelli, the world's most popular tenor (and Best selling) and pop sensation as well, has recorded The Best of Andrea Bocelli, Vivere what is a wonderful collection of his crossover (semi classical pop) songs and is a must for every Bocelli fan. Every song on the CD is wonderful and all the hit songs have been re mastered (or remixed) and sound better than ever. This is the Spanish version of his hits with most of the songs being in spanish.
the songs include
1. La Voz Del Silencio A wonderful new song.
2. Sueno
3. El Silencio De La Espera (Il Mare Calmo Della Sera)
4. Vive Ya (Vivere) A new Spanish version of Viva per lei with Laura Pausini.
5. Canto De La Tierra
6. A Ti A brweand new song written by Bocelli, very pretty indeed.
7. 'O Mare E Tu With Dolche Pontez.
8. Besame Mucho
9. Mil Lunas Mil Olas (Mille Lune Mille Onde) The Italian version of this song is on the Brilla Pasta Ad's.
10. Por Ti Volare (Con Te Partiro)
11. Io Ci Saro Anotehr new song very very nice.
12. Romanza
13. Vivo Por Ella (Vivo Per Lei)
14. Un Dulce Melodrama (Melodramma)
15. Hermosas Estrellas A wonderful and Beautiful new song probably my favorite on the CD.
16. The Prayer With Celine dion, Golden Globe Winning song.
This is a great CD for any Bocelli fan; for the fan because it has the 5 new songs (4 new and one alternative version). And is a great set for new fans because it has many of his hits and the new tracks are wonderful as well. This would be a good first CD for someone new to Bocelli.
(The Delux Edition comes with a bonus DVD with 8 songs from the Statue of Liberty concert, Its more then the standard edtion but I think worth the extra few bucks).

Inferior to its native (Italian/English) version, June 18, 2009
This review is from: Vivere: Lo Mejor de Andrea Bocelli [CD+DVD] (Audio CD)
The songs in Spanish sound flat and audibly inferior to the native (Italian/English) versions. The Bocelli's voice is almost the same, but it lacks certain warmth deriving from vibrations not present there and depriving the voice of spaciousness of the originals. The added song O' MARE E TU with Dulce Pontes seems to be out of character and its Bocelli's part is minor and subdued. Marta Sanchez is no match for Giorgia in VIVO PER LEI. And TIME TO SAY GOODBYE without Sarah Brightman does not sound as well. This Spanish album does not match its native version by a wide margin, but it is worth consideration, if the lyrics matter; otherwise - not.
