Terrific Value,

For a two hundred dollar lens you get more than your moneys worth. Excellent sharpness and contrast up to 300mm. Beyond 300mm it still delivers very good sharpness even when shooting birds at full open aperture. By using a tripod you can squeeze some wonderful imagery out of this lens. I experienced no lens creep and zoom is very precise and the lens is solidly built. Autofocus is a little noisy but I usually use manual focus when photographing birds in trees so that autofocus does'nt search for focus and focus on leaves and branches instead of the birds themselves.I found the lens an excellent alternative to doing top quality bird photography without spending major dollars on high end optics. For what I use the lens for, I am more than satisfied.
