5.0 out of 5 stars Q-Tip: Thank You So Very Much!
Do not - I repeat, DO NOT listen to anyone who thinks this record is wack! This has to be the BEST dance, hip-hop, track since Check The Rhyme! And anyone who feels this song is terrible, I honestly believe that either he or she has no rhythm, cannot dance anyway, or has no earthly clue of what real hip-hop flavor is all about!

5.0 out of 5 stars Q-Tip: Thank You So Very Much!, November 15, 1999

Do not - I repeat, DO NOT listen to anyone who thinks this record is wack! This has to be the BEST dance, hip-hop, track since Check The Rhyme! And anyone who feels this song is terrible, I honestly believe that either he or she has no rhythm, cannot dance anyway, or has no earthly clue of what real hip-hop flavor is all about!

I've already labeled this song as my anthem for 1999! In fact, "Vivrant Thing" is an extreme classic - and provides me with so much enthusiam and optimism for Q-Tip's solo effort. I've already heard a track called, Breathe and Stop, at a famous, local NYC record store and practically everyone in the entire store started dancing.

It's time to stop all this "I got so much money, I'm living a thug life here and ni##ga grab your gats" mess! True hip hop jams make people RUN, and I do mean, RUN to the dance floor, with full of hype, energy, intensity, and flavor! Think about it, have you ever wanted to "kill" someone, simply by listening to something by A Tribe Called Quest (Q-Tip), De La Soul, and/or Digable Planets? Why not? They bring the creativity and style to hip-hop! You end up feeling good about yourself and your culture! Most importantly, you also end up realizing how much love those talented artists have about what they're doing and why they're doing it. Think about it - did you feel angry at anyone when you first heard, "Rapper's Delight" or "The Message"? No, because you were too busy trying to get to the dance floor!

At any rate, thank you so much Q-Tip for Vivrant Thing. It's all about the Love Movement! And I truly admire your style, musical artisty and expertise! Now, go purchase Amplified and when Vivrant Thing comes on...TURN IT UP and DANCE!

4.0 out of 5 stars ONE OF THE BEST HIP-HOP SONGS OF'99!, November 17, 1999
By A Customer
This review is from: Vivrant Thing (Audio CD)
THIS IS FOR ALL THE PEOPLE WHO HAVE SEEN Q-TIP GROW SINCE THE LATE 80'S. YOU KNOW THAT THIS IS JUST ONE OF THE FEW WAYS TIP CAN MAKE YOU SHAKE SOMETHING AS WELL AS HAVING YOU HIT THE REPEAT BUTTON ON YOUR SYSTEM. YES IT IS SAD THAT TRIBE AIN'T TOGETHER ANYMORE. BUT, LISTEN TO THE WAY Q-TIP KEPT HIS OWN STYLE. THIS SONG WILL KEEP YOUR HEAD BOPPIN' JUST LIKE IN THE VIDEO WHERE TIP'S HEAD IS BOPPIN'. DON'T START HATIN' JUST CAUSE HE FOUND HIS NICHE AND USED IT MAKE ENDS. THIS SONG IS THE BEGINING OF A NEW EMERGENCE FROM TIP'S BOY TO MAN GROWTH. THE SONG IS WELL PUT TOGTHER AS WELL AS HAVING THAT LITTLE EXTRA UMMPH THAT MAKES IT Q-TIPS. SO ONCE AGAIN EXCELLENT SONG.

I simply love this song! I think it is the best song to come out this year! I admit I was sadden when the group broke-up. But as long as Q Tip is making hits like this I can get over it!

4.0 out of 5 stars What a hot CD!, July 12, 2000
This review is from: Vivrant Thing (Audio CD)
This CD is hot for many reasons. First off it has Vivrant Thing, which is a tight song. Then they got the remix, which is even hotter. If you like Vivrant Thing but you don't want to buy the Violator album this is a good alternative, especially if you're a big fan of Q-Tip. The remix is a good dance song ¿tú sabes? I recommend to all Q-Tip/Vivrant Thing fans.

I love this song! It's about time he came out something tight! Everytime I hear the song I think of myself. I think the guys are just hating because he's rapping about a girl! That boring old school rap is over, its time for something VIVRANT!
