The Outlaw's Virgin – Beth Williamson

Lady Margaret Travers is not about to let a train robber named Brit steal all her funds and leave her and her sister Millicent stranded in Beaumont, Texas. After all, they are running to their Aunt Gertrude for sanctuary to escape an arranged marriage, and need all the money they have to survive.

Little does Maggie know that outlaw Brit is really Lord Lowndes, Tiernan Franklinton, her intended bridegroom! Tiernan has given up his title and everything that goes with it to become a wanted man.

When Maggie follows Brit to his hideout, what's going to happen to the Outlaw’s Virgin?

The Sheriff’s Vixen – Robin Danner

After a botched elopement, Millicent Travers and her sister are sent to America to meet their intended bridegrooms. When Millie is stranded to await Maggie’s return in Beaumont it is only a matter of time until she is up to her old tricks.

Trouble arrives in the form of Benjamin Spalding, a do-gooder sheriff who has been trailing the infamous outlaw, Brit. Ben has better things to do than keep a close eye on the recent visitor to Beaumont. But when Millie starts a brawl in the local saloon, Ben has no choice but to arrest her. Can these two stop butting heads long enough to fall in love? And what will happen when Millie learns that Ben is her intended groom?

The Outlaw's Virgin by Beth Williamson

Lady Margaret Travers is running from an arranged marriage to an American Earl. She and her sister Millicent escape their chaperone and board a train headed to Corpus Christi, Texas and their Aunt Gertrude. Maggie is determined to be her own woman and not some man's powerless wife. What Maggie does not plan for or expect is for their train to be robbed. When their money is stolen by one of the masked bandits, Maggie is furious. They need that money to start new lives. She's not about to come this far only to have it fall apart! Leaving her sister in Beaumont, Texas, Maggie sets out with her horse Wind Dancer to find the bandit. Maggie doesn't know that the outlaw she is tracking is also her intended husband, Lord Lowndes, Teirnan Franklinton!

Brit Spalding hadn't set out to become an outlaw. Following a major blow up with his stepfather, Brit had stormed out vowing to be his own man. He didn't want to leave Texas and go to England and take up his title and figuring he could make a living as a gambler he left. Two weeks later, he's five hundred dollars in debt to a man named Slim Johnson, who tells him that he can work off his debt by being a "horse holder" for him and his crew. Brit didn't know until it was too late that he is literally left holding the horse with Slim and his men rob a bank! Two years later Slim says he'll forgive the rest of his debt if Brit will help them with the train job. Wanting out so bad he can taste it, Brit agrees. He doesn't know that by agreeing he will come face to face with his destiny.

When Maggie is injured tracking Brit, he takes her to his hideout. An English lady and an American Earl are about to butt heads, hearts, not to mention their bodies. Can this unlikely pair find a way to true love?

The Outlaw's Virgin is a delight. The characters are very well structured and complement each other. There are numerous funny moments as Maggie learns to cope without any of her creature comforts. She is strong-willed and this leads to many explosive and passionate encounters with her outlaw. Brit enjoys putting Maggie is situations she has never encountered before. He also encourages her and helps her become the independent woman she wants to be. I don't normally read westerns, but I was very pleasantly surprised by this one. If you enjoy this genre, then I highly recommend The Outlaw's Virgin.

The Sheriff's Vixen by Robin Danner

Lady Millicent Travers longs for adventure and she is about to get more than she bargained for. Running from arranged marriages in America, the train Millie and her sister are on is robbed. When her sister goes after the outlaw who stole their money, Millie is left stranded in Beaumont, Texas. Left with few options, Millie gets a job in a saloon serving drinks. It isn't long before she finds trouble.

Benjamin Spalding is the sheriff of Beaumont and he has little use for hot headed, naïve, albeit beautiful troublemakers. He has more pressing problems like trying to capture the outlaw called Brit. The new girl is town is going to be trouble and Ben is determined to stop her in her tracks. He isn't prepared for the feelings this little troublemaker brings out in him.
When Millie inadvertently starts a brawl at the saloon, Ben arrests her and takes her to jail. Who knew a jailhouse cot could be so comfortable? Ben knows his heart is in trouble. Millie is promised to another man, but Ben wants her for himself. Will he get his wish?

The Sheriff's Vixen is a riotous comedy of opposites attract! Millie is no shrinking violet miss; her infectious personality and zest for life shine throughout this story. Her ability to cause mayhem wherever she goes is just laugh out loud funny! Ben's exasperation and unwilling attraction cause him no small amount of frustration. These characters sizzle together and their steamy encounters definitely turned up my body temperature. If you are in the mood for laughter, love, and a whole lot of lust, then you won't be disappointed in The Sheriff's Vixen!
