Great TV at a Good Price,

This review is actually for a refurbished version of the TV I recently purchased. I was a little nervous buying a refurbished TV, but am very happy with the purchase. I am still going to get the extended warranty for this TV, but if you get this TV for <$500, check out the prices that Vizio will provide you for an extended warranty - they are pretty amazing. And they do offer this service for refurbished TVs too.
Once you adjust the picture settings, the picture quality is real good. I don't have too much experience doing this myself, but Google it and you'll find a lot of other people's recommendations. If you are concerned that this TV is only a 720p, the TV also accepts 1080i inputs - the highest quality the cable providers send video at anyways. To be honest, I can't tell much of a difference. I use this TV in my bedroom and usually view it from about 10-12ft away. I'm pretty happy with the audio - nothing special, but nothing to really complain about. The remote is real basic, but easy to use. I wish there were buttons to easily switch between the aspect ratios and different picture modes, but no complaints other than that. I use the ATT Uverse remote anyways. It's not listed by ATT, but the remote code for this TV is 1343. You can't switch between inputs with the ATT remote though. One of the things that I didn't like about the TV was that all the inputs in the back face downwards and are hard to get to. It shouldn't be too big of a deal considering that I don't have to go back there too often. The side inputs are a little further behind the TV too. Overall, I'm happy with the Vizio and would recommend it to anyone looking for a budget LCD.

I got a "refurbished" version of this TV and have been using it for just over a week. There are lots of things to like about it:
-Outstanding HD picture and a good standard definition picture. -Lots of inputs, including 3 HDMI, 2 Component, and even VGA for connecting it to a PC. -A simple, easy to use, basic remote control that still includes multiple buttons for direct access to a variety of inputs. -Excellent tuner for Over-The-Air reception, and a logical channel layout that positions digital stations next to their analog counterparts. (Although this may be less important when analog Over-The-Air broadcast are discountinued.) But this set does have some limitations: -Sound quality is good, but not great. Connect it to a sound system with good speakers if you like to crank the volume. -Picture ratio adjustments are extremely limited, and in some modes (including HDMI & Component) completely non-existant. If you have the set connected to a cable or satellite box that allows you to adjust the picture ratio, this might not be a big deal. But for some sources it can be very frustrating. For example - I have a number of DVD's recorded in a 4:3 letter box format. On my LG widescreen TV, I can hit the "Ratio" button and zoom the picture up to fill the full screen. But on this TV, I'm forced to watch a stretched picture with black bars at the top and the bottom. -The included stand is perfectly functional, but limited (no swivel.) -No extra features, such as a USB input for displaying photos on screen. Overall I think this is a good value for someone who wants a basic TV with a great picture that you can set and forget.

I recently purchased this tv and I really like it. The picture quality is nice and the sound is very good. I was thinking of purchasing speakers for it when I bought it but decided to wait and I'm very glad that I don't need to. I don't know why it is over [...] I bought this same exact tv at Costco for [...] and it comes with an extended 2 year warranty.

I purchased this TV for my den and just loved it. Great picture and sound good. Looks good too. Very easy to set up. I loved it so much I purchased one just like it for my bedroom and am so happy with both. I highly recommend this TV to anyone wanting a good value for the price. I am a single mature woman and set both TVs up myself - very easy.

Don't buy it if you want to plug in more than just a DVD player.,

It's a cheap TV that can only let you either plug in a DVD player or a gaming console, but not both. You can't add gaming consoles to it as it doesn't have the correct connections. Who would have made such poor design. No wonder its so cheap.
