A Classic returns,
By A Customer
This review is from: Vocabulary of the Greek Testament (Greek Edition) (Hardcover)
This useful tool for background research in the New Testament, long out of print, is now affordably available through Hendrickson Publishers. It provides listings of NT word occurrences in the papyri and other background literature. Saves a lot of work which others have already done.

Essential Tools for the Exegete,
By Ken Weisz (FL) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Vocabulary of the Greek Testament (Greek Edition) (Hardcover)
There are four essential reference works for the serious exegetical student:
1. Williams, "Concordance of Natural Language Patterns in the Greek New Testament" 2. BDAG, "Greek-English Lexicon of the NT" 3rd Edition 3. Moulton-Milligan, "Vocabulary of the Greek Testament" 4. Moulton-Geden "Concordance of the Greek Testament" That being said, this release is well worth having even if only for the comparative terms from the 1st-2nd centuries. First, it is packed with terms from papyrii and mss finds from the Apostolic and post-Apostolic eras. Such additional comparative philological references are indispensable for accurate contextual studies.
