Michael McCarthy is one of Britain's leading writers on the environment. Formerly environment correspondent of The Times, for the last ten years he has been environment editor of the Independent. I have been teaching ESL to Spanish speakers and Hebrew speakers for the past 3 years. My students love this book. The vocabulary points are clear and detailed. The exercises are directly relevant to all of the explanation. It is great for teachers in the classroom and for students who want to study on their own.

Is an uncommon book that gives you an advanced introduction to most common vocabulary used among the students in North America, giving very good results for those who are learning the english as a second language to access college and studies purposes, enhancing the speech and personal vocabulary.
