This review is from: A Vocabulary of the Unami Jargon (American Language Reprints) (Hardcover)
This is NOT a vocabulary of the Unami (Delaware or Lenni Lenape) language--it is a vocabulary of a 17th-century trade pidgin used by Unami speakers to communicate with English-speaking colonists. Most Indian trade pidgins were never recorded, so this is a doubly fascinating volume. Don't buy it expecting to learn the Lenape language, but if you have an interest in linguistic history or contact languages, this is a great find.
