If you want to learn Modern Greek, this book is essential. It contains all the really useful, common words that you will ever need. It gives their meanings in a really useful way, with English equivalents.This is the real, spoken language. All the words are commonly used. It has very little grammar, so you will need another book for that. It uses the old 3 accent method of showing the word accent. This is not really a problem, since it's easy to make the switch to the modern one accent method. It's worth waiting for this book. |
