Vocabulary Vine is an excellent program! Not only is it affordable, but it can be used over and over with multiple children because it is not consumable. It is great preparation for high school years of science and the SAT.

Your child focuses on just 3 roots per week. The only additional supplies needed are index cards.

Please note this is more supplementary than a stand alone vocabulary program. We use this in addition to a full vocabulary program called Wordly Wise.

I've been using this with my eight year old son and we both love it! It's simple, fun, easy to follow and yet so powerful in what it teaches. I especially like that it's a spiral system yet it doesn't feel repetitive, that it includes games, and that we can do it in small chunks of time. Very worthwhile!

This book is a valuable asset to anyone trying to increase their vocabulary quickly. It is clear and concise. If there is a down side, I would say it is due to the lack of visuals in the book. It is very straight forward with little detail, but it definitely accomplishes its purpose.

We are currently on lesson 10. I am teaching my 8 and 10 year old. They have already learned several root words to help them with math vocabulary and of course the English language. So glad I got this!
