5.0 out of 5 stars What?!, November 19, 2001
This review is from: Voce (Audio CD)
That first review is rediculous... I am learning Português, and I have two Brazilian friends.. I came to see Sandy's amazing talent trought a Duet with Andrea Bocello entitled Vivo Por Ela. I then asked my Portugese friends if they had any of her cds, and one of them proceeded to let me borrow some of her music. I was impressed. Sandy e Júnior sing well together, they have fun music, and it's relaxing and pleasant to listen to. Eu Quero mais, Imortal and Anprendar a Amar are good songs, and I did enjoy the Savage Garden and Heart Will Go On Remixes. Give some culture a try, you might not like this CD, but As Quatro Estações is a really decent cd.

1.0 out of 5 stars Sandy and Junior suck, October 24, 2003
This review is from: Voce (Audio CD)
I don't know, there's something really annoying about Sandy & Junior.. Maybe Sandy should persue a solo carrer and leave her brother behind.. he can't sing, he's annoying, he's boring, he's ugly.. there's nothing good about him.. But unfortunately success is came easy for these two, whose parents have been in the showbizz for a long time (Chitaozinho e Chororo - the worse thing in music history)..
Sandy is ok. I mean, I don't really like her voice, but that's just me.. at least she can sing.. My little sister (she's 10) loves them, but I keep trying to talk her into listening to some good music.. Those portuguese versions of classic songs like Immortality suck!!! "O que é imortal, não morre no final". (what is imortal doesn't die in the end - REALLY?????!!!!!) This is what Sandy said when asked about who she was gonna vote in a brazilian election: "I don't know, I've been too busy recently. I haven't paid attention to the candidates.. I'll probably vote for the one my parents will vote for.."
In a nutshell - they are a media-made product. their songs suck. Junior sucks. Want some good brazilian music? Check out Lulu Santos, Kid Abelha, Titas, Caetano Veloso, etc

1.0 out of 5 stars Celine Dion in Portuguese ?, October 14, 2000

I'm brazilian and how surprise i became when a friend gave me a Sandy & Junior cd . He said that they were in all brazilian FMs. I try to listen but it was impossible... They sound like boys band of 90's mixed with country music and romantic songs from 80's . Could you imagine ? Sandy sounds cute but she should grow up and sing without her brother . Sandy would sound better on MPB or Bossa Nova.Adaptations of Savage Garden , Celine Dion and Shania Twain sucks.. If you want know how became Truly Madly Deeply in a country version played in portuguese for a couple that looks like Britney Spears and Rick Martin buy this cd...
