Third one I've bought and can't say that I've had any problems with it at all. Dropped my ipad a few times in the car and case took all the shock. The in house mount is perfect and the case is smooth to the touch. Love this case!
Other hardshells cases have a flush back side that touches the ipad. This has a gap between the back of the ipad and the case giving a sort of "floating" spring protection if it were to fall on it's back. think of it like wrapping a can around an egg and dropping it vs suspending it with rubberbands in the can and dropping it. It's an extreme comparison and may not correlate that well, but you get the idea.
I researched for months on finding a nice hard shell case, and this one is perfect for my lifestyle of moving around and about and setting the ipad down, picking it up, constantly on the move looking for a new place to prop it up or mount it.
Overall, great product and would recommend everyone to get the complete kit (instead of the starter) to use it in the car (rear seat mounts) as well as in the home.

Overall a fantastic product. The mounting piece that attaches to the wall is small and discreet. The fact that you can click the iPad in and rotate to portrait or landscape is very convenient. The case that comes with the starter kit is compatible with the new apple smart cover which is a plus. Cover adds a little weight to the iPad but no more than say a leather portfolio would add. This product has allowed us to utilize the iPad as a central organizer for the family - scheduling on the calendar, grocery lists, freezer inventory, etc. We mounted ours above an outlet to allow for easy charging. Great product. Looking forward to the release of the undercounter mount for the ipad 2. Just a tip: I find it easiest to mount the iPad onto the mount by clicking in one side and then the other side.

We got introduced to this product when we were in Europe. Vogel's is a Dutch company and our Dutch friends had these mounts throughout their home. The mounts look very stylish. So we got one to try and got totally hooked. It comes with a rear cover that is very sleek and attractive-very European design. In the middle of the cover is a ring. A sleek cylinder mount is screwed into the wall. All you need do is take your iPad and press it into the mount. It clicks into place and the iPad is secure on the wall. We have the mount in our kitchen where we spend most of our time. Once, before we had the mount, we were gathering up the Sunday newspaper and put it into the recycling...then a little later we couldn't find the iPad...after a frantic search we located it in the recycling bin with the newspapers. Now, we always put the iPad on the mount on the wall. A good lesson learned. Its great in the kitchen when I cook because it stays out of the way yet I can read recipes and access the web really easily. I love this and highly recommend it.
