Prophetic,
By A Customer
This review is from: The Voice of God (Paperback)
The Voice of God is a must read for every child of God seeking to grow in their walk with the Lord. Cindy Jacobs has provided a balanced prophetic insight to the ways God speaks to His people today while cautioning against the counterfeit of the enemy. As the saying goes she has made it clear that as a believer, we must not throw out the baby with the water. Her clarity and simplicity in expounding the subject is terrific and I would suggest that every believer try to read all her books. She uses personal experiences in the book that make the reader easily relate to her subject. Get the book and read it. That's all I can say. God bless you.

God is speaking loud, are you hearing Him ?,
This review is from: The Voice of God (Paperback)
I had this book quite sometime back. Writing this formidable book is an arduous journey, yet Cindy has undertaken this unfamiliar effort because she realizes there are many prophetic potential out there but few have ever made themselves wise and mature. Surely, this book will set you free from unfounded fears that has long saddled on budding ministry belonging to the prophetic. First of all, as a woman leader, Cindy has taken an extraordinary approach in confronting issues of the prophetic. She is God's strategy to intercept much of today's whirlpool of confusion and wrong mindsets. Read how she flushes out the fears surrounding the prophetic calling by granulating her wealth of experience into digestible words. In addition, Cindy also tied her integrity and credibility with an abundant of reference to the biblical text. Lies within this book, you will soon discover that God is more than willing to reveal His heart. All He needs is an obedient mouthpiece. So don't ever say you are not worthy. This book will prove you wrong. But speaking forth a word from the throne requires delicate shaping and consistent training. A well known prophetic figure once said you need a shovel when tempering the prophetic. This is absolutely true because dispensation and operation of the prophetic is ostensibly free from the cord of license, permission, and accountability. Thus, the arrival of the "Voice of God" on our local bookstore shelf is timely. Cindy prescribes acceptable approach in releasing prophetic word at both personal and corporate level. She emphasizes that protocol and submission form the safety net that will prevent many from a careless "fall". Thanks Cindy for steering us out from our settled thoughts, and leading us to the path of God's truth and power.

Cause me to hear Your lovingkindness,
This review is from: The Voice of God (Paperback)
David made this plea to God in Psalm 143:8. Hearing the loving voice of the Father places us in a special level of intimacy. The gift of hearing the voice of God can seem mysterious, but Cindy Jacobs through her warm stories takes away the spookiness of being a prophetic person. I recommend the "Voice of God" to anyone wanting to walk in the gift of prophecy or just wants to feel more comfortable about the ones who do. Of special helpfulness was the section on God speaking through dreams. Most people do not realize that this often overlooked element of the spiritual walk is one of the most common ways the Father chooses to speak to His children.

I enjoy Cindy Jacob's writing for two reasons. One, she has the personal experiences, (Both good and bad!) so she knows what she's writing about, and she is so "down home" in her writing style--as though Dolly Parton went to Seminary... She is very good at sharing her wisdom, referring the reader to other authoritative sources, and helping you to get a handle on some pretty deep spiritual principles. I appreciate her alot. Reading this book has inspired me (in the literal sense of the word) to pray and seek God more and more.

I have often wondered about my spiritual gifting and if the prophetic was a part of them. This book helped me to discover that I do have a gift within the prophetic. I learned so much about how to grow in and handle my gifting. I am thankful for this book and look forward to how it will affect me as I grow in my gifts. My dad loved the book as well he probably would rate it as a +10

This book is so good, that I am giving a copy to my children that they too might learn to hear from God. Not only is it important to hear fom God, but it is also important to know what to do with this "word" and how to make sure God it is speaking.

This is probably the best book for those who are new to the Prophetic. It does an excellent job of outlining the history and basics of the gift of Prophecy (and Prophetic Intercession), teaching fundamentals that are needed to operate in ministry, and to recieve prophetic words more appropriately. More important than the information it provides is the fact that it motivates you to minister prophetically, and addresses much of the fear we have when we begin to operate in that realm. This book was not only packed full of information and encouragement, but Cindy Jacobs does an excellent job of making it an effortless read. In fact, it would have been easy to read in one sitting, had I not been so engrossed in the learning that I had to put it down each chapter and think and pray about each section. Overall I greatly recommend it for beginners who are just learning, and even the more seasoned ministers that need an encouragement boost.
