This CD is to help you pronounce your vowels and it does that; but for me it does much more. Sometimes I have trouble getting a rich tone - lack of breath support. I was singing a solo Sunday night at church. Had a microphone check (practice) before church started and realized my voice had a tinny sound. Went to the car - where I had this CD and sang along with it for a few minutes. Went back in and did my solo and had no trouble supporting my voice. Great help.

It not only practices you on your vowels, but it's nice to warm up your voice with this too. I have the other volumes of Voice Lessons to Go, even the one especially with the warmup session, but sometimes I like to vary it and use this instead.

I'm not a pro and I was worried that these exercises might be a little too advanced and was pleasantly surprised that, as in her other CDs, Ms. Vaccarino has created a series of exercises that appear to be for the novice and pro alike. By this I mean that they are simple and easy to follow so that anyone can do them, but that they are top notch and professional in their execution and really work. I talked to a fiend of mine who is a professional singer in musical theater who works in New York, LA and around the country on tour and turned him onto all four in the series -- he loved them and said it reminded him of some of the vocal warm-ups that he was taught to do back at The Academy for Dramatic and Performing Arts back in New York. he's since turned a bunch of other people in his theater company onto them as well. Anyway, I highly recommend that you buy all four in the series Voice Lessons To Go v.1-4 The Complete Set. They're truly great.
