Chris and other scholars such as David Capes did such a great job paraphrasing John. It's written in modern-day language, but it still captures the beauty of John the Evangelist's writing style. There are also notes explaining the context which make this easy to follow along. I'm actually using this with a group of Junior Highers in Sunday School, and they're responding well to it (the first chapter took some unpacking, but the rest they understood). Since it's written like a play, the students look forward to playing different roles, and they remember the life and ministry of Jesus!

Of all the translations of the Gospel of John that I have read(And I have read many) this is definitely the most readable. Congratulations to the translation team. God bless you.
