Canada takes the blame for a lot of things, but can claim credit for keeping the blues alive and well. Hailing from Ontario, Kennedy has been writing and performing blues for 50 years (you may remember him as Chairman of the Board), but still has a fresh, dynamic voice, sometimes reminiscent of Ry Cooder in style. His guitar however, is pure Muddy Waters.
If you are any kind of blues fan, especially old-style Delta blues, you will enjoy this album. |
