Voices 2 - total ear candy, March 13, 2005

I stumbled upon this album by accident, finding its succssor Voices 3 on the newsgroups and then searching for the earlier releases in the series. Some of the most beautiful voices in today's classical music world can be found on both these albums, from Andrea Bocelli and Luciano Pavarotti to Charlotte Church and Emma Shapplin. Puccini himself would be thrilled to hear Bocelli's rendition of "Nessun Dorma", the soaring aria from Turandot. Voices 2 and voices 3 make wonderful late afternoon with a cup of tea by the fire a glorious, heartwarming event. I can't recommend these albums enough!
