Book Description

December 5, 2000
Join me on a most unusual journey into the past. A journey to different lands and different periods in history where you'll meet some unusual people. This is not a typical account of regression experiences, though. You see, these stories are proved true! They actually happened....in the past lives of people just like you and me. In fact, these people are living among us right now and they have graciously agreed to let their stories be told.

You'll meet a child who died on the Titanic, a man crushed to death as a witch, a woman who suffered a botched cesarean birth in the time of Christ and who now suffers from a chronic bladder problem as a result. You will meet a woman who starved to death in prehistoric times and is now unable to lose weight and a woman who lived in 2045 B.C. and speaks in a dead language.

These are detailed accounts of actual regressions and the research that proves them true!.I do hope you will join me on this exciting adventure. I assure you, it is one you will never forget!

I found this to be one of the most exciting books I have ever read. It held my attention from the very first page. I could not put it down. It really made me understand that some of the habits I have today may be carried over from one of my past lives! I didn't want this book to end!!!

5.0 out of 5 stars A real page turner!, September 22, 2007
This review is from: Voices From The Chair (Paperback)
I have always been fascinated by the possibility of past lives, the paranormal, and the like. When I started reading this book, I COULD NOT put it down! Each case was so amazing and really drew me in, giving me chills as I read some of the details of their past lives and how they had been verified! Learning how much trauma from a past life can carry over into a present life to affect someone physically and emotionally just astounded me. I hope to one day have the pleasure of meeting Dr. Jennings and have a past life regression of my own!

5.0 out of 5 stars Fascinating and Thought-Provoking, September 8, 2006
This review is from: Voices From The Chair (Paperback)
Anyone who is absolutely convinced that death is a dead end, that we do not survive the destruction of our physical bodies, should perhaps find something else to read before the Grim Reaper comes along and extinguishes you forever. But for those who believe death is a one-way door to heaven or hell, or who are undecided, curious, or even skeptical, this book may provide you with enough food for thought that your mind will be able to have a veritable banquet. And what a feast it is!

Dr. Patricia Jennings, a noted professional hypnotherapist from the Philadelphia area, has presented in this book an exceedingly convincing argument for reincarnation, based upon several case studies from her own clinical practice which were able to be verified historically. One such patient was a young boy who had an obsession with the Civil War. Under hypnosis, he was regressed to a previous life as a Confederate soldier who was killed on the battlefield. After considerable research, the soldier's name and other pertinent information were able to be authenticated.

Past life regression is not a "new age" phenomenon. Back in the early 1950s there was the world-famous case of Virginia Tighe, a Colorado woman, the details of whose previous life were verified as Bridey Murphy, an Irish woman who lived from 1798-1864. These techniques of hypnosis have been used clinically for decades in order to resolve emotional issues for patients who have not responded to more traditional therapies. Dr. Jennings explains how and why she uses hypnotic regression as a clinical tool for her clients, and how "memories" of unresolved conflicts or trauma from a previous existence can affect us in our current lives. One notable example of this was a teenage girl who had an irrational fear of being away from home, which was causing problems with her school sports team. Upon regression, it was found that she had been a ten-year-old girl traveling with her family on the ill-fated liner "Titanic." She and her entire family had been trapped in their third class cabin and drowned. Her name, Jessie Goodwin, and the names of her family were able to be located in the White Star Line's passenger documents from the ship's 1912 voyage.

I heartily recommend this captivating book for anyone who has ever pondered the mysteries of life and why human existence seems to be so full of such extremely complex and diverse experiences. Dr. Jennings joins so many others in the search for truth, understanding, and enlightenment as she contributes to and touches the lives of her clients and readers. Set aside some time, because you will not want to put this book down until you have finished it!
