Voices of the Fourth Generation is a beautiful book. It is obviously a labor of love by a woman who wants to bring contemporary Chinese poetry to the west. Thank you, Keming Liu. I was particularly excited to see the Chinese simplified characters are included along with the English for every poem. The book is nicely printed on quality paper in hardcover. The translations are thoughtfully executed. The introduction is brief but informative and leaves you wanting to read the poems. At the back are brief biographies of the poets and the cover artist, Sheng Qi. I enthusiastically recommend this book.
