Voices of Grief is about the journey we must take when someone close to us dies. We have never felt so alone as we set out each day on the path that leads through the bitter landscape of grief. Some of us turn immediately to our faith in God; others turn away from their God in anger and fear. Many don't know where to turn. Everyone who suffers the loss of a loved one, however, does pass through the stages of healing from their loss and this is where Voices of Grief may be of some help.Done in a journal format, this book works within the concept of grieving as a process and is set up in three stages: Setting Out, Along the Way, and Coming Home. Each page has a scriptural quotation and an interaction with that quotation between a bereaved person and a loving God. There is space on each page for the journal user's personal sharing. The book can also be used without journaling as a time for quiet thought and prayer as it simply invites the bereaved person to come away into reflective silence to grieve. Many who are on this journey - some recently bereaved, some whose loss was in the past but still need to go through the grief experience - are finding the book to be helpful. It is an intensely personal sharing of many, many voices of grief - their thoughts, reminiscences, stories, reflections - all joined together to reach out during this time of greatest need.
