5.0 out of 5 stars A Bright vista in a sometimes dark world!, November 20, 2002
This review is from: Voices of Hope: Sabera Foundation (Audio CD)
The out pouring of emotion from this CD is enough to knock your socks off. I was left in awe, brought to tears, and struck by hope and joy over and over again during the 14 course feast of this Sabera project. The cultural flavor of this project is truly something to behold. Each song has it's own message, it's own tears, joys, and hopes, and it's own bright vistas. It is nothing short of pure joy to have 14 fantastic songs all on one album. "Voices of Hope" is an ear pleasing mix of the Anglo and Latin musical worlds. If we can all be a "voice of hope," wherever we are, to adults and children alike, this world could turn into a truly peaceful place. This project fuels my ever present desire to strive for that hope and peace.

5.0 out of 5 stars Unique and fantastic!, January 6, 2003
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Voices of Hope: Sabera Foundation (Audio CD)
I got the Sabera CD yesterday and I've played it almost a dozen times! It's phenomenal! Sting's new song, and Elton John and Pavarotti's duet, Placido Domingo's "Himno Real Madrid," Ricky Martin's East Indian Rock (don't know what else to call it -- it really rocks!), Noa's "Ave Maria," Antonio Banderas' "Imagine" -- even Alanis Morrisette (who I normally don't like) -- they are great! And Hans Zimmer's flamenco arrangement of "The Theme from The Gladiator" is brilliant!

This is a great CD! By ordering it, you help a very worthy cause as well.

5.0 out of 5 stars Voices of Hope is Wonderful, June 8, 2003
By A Customer
This review is from: Voices of Hope: Sabera Foundation (Audio CD)
I bought this CD because I like Ricky Martin and all he stands for and of course to help the Sabera Foundation.

I was pleasantly surprised at how good it was. I didn't realize Antonio Banderas was such a good singer. Of course I enjoyed Ricky's sounds of India with "Amare Ey Man Galie>" It was the first we had heard his music since El Ultimo Adios.

I have listened to this CD through many times and enjoy Elton and Luciano Pavarotti's "Living Like Horses" and the rest. Even Alanis Morrisette is not bad on this one.
