The XP set starts with an XP junior driver, which boasts an oversized titanium head and a deep face design for maximum forgiveness off the tee. The driver, which is fitted with a Voit XP graphite shaft in a junior flex, measures 39 inches long and comes with a matching head cover. The set also includes junior-sized 7 and 9 irons. Each iron offers an oversized head with a wide sole that improves ball flight on off-center strikes. The top-line irons are medium sized, look good, and instill confidence. The 7 iron is 34 inches long while the 9 iron is 33 inches long.
The set concludes with a semi-mallet putter and a junior stand bag. The 31-inch putter's white-ball design supports easier alignment, while the stand bag features a 7-inch-diameter, four-way padded top. As a result, your son will have plenty of space to store his clubs. The bag also includes such features as five exterior zippered pockets, one exterior mesh pocket, a padded adjustable double-shoulder strap, a padded side panel for optimum weight distribution and comfort, a matching zippered rain hood, an umbrella holder, and a bottom assist handle. The bag weighs a mere 3.5 pounds when empty.
The XP junior set is sized for kids who stand between 54 and 61 inches tall.

Clubs are a good value for the price. My son is a beginner (10 years old) and these clubs fit him fine and with a little room to grow 2-3 years. It is a good value especially if you are introducing a child to golf and don't want a big upfront cost to find out they don't really like the sport. Bag is good too...all being relative to the price.
CON: The clubs are not marked like normal irons, they have weird symbols.

This is a very nice starter golf set for a child. The bag and clubs both seem sturdy. We purchased the set for our grandson, who is 7, and planned to give it to him for Christmas. Since we live in the northeast, he would be almost 8 when he could start using the clubs. They were WAY too big! In fact, they were the perfect size for me and for my daughter, who is 31. Measuring them next to my husband's golf clubs, they were not much smaller. We ended up sending the clubs back & ordering the next size smaller for him. The shipping to our house was free, but return shipping was pricey. I really think the age recommendations should be thought out a bit better for these children's clubs. They may fit a 12-year-old, but certainly not any 8-year-old that I know.
