Plenty of hip-hop beats and eletronic fiddling means one thing: Dabrye's back on the deck for ADDITIONAL PRODUCTIONS, VOL 1. A peppering of lyrics from Beans spices up the flute-based groove of "Nite Eats Day," while T. Raumschmeiere gets his heavy-driving "Monstertruckdriver" tricked out with a stuttering snare drum. Trans Am receives a strange mix of "Infinite Wavelength" that sound like it's been intercepted off the radiowaves somewhere, and his mix of Mono's "Not Wisely/Too Well" is a spartan jazz concoction. "Angel Beat" from Ill Suono receives a more abstract rub, which echoes the refractions of Dabrye's own "Hyped-Up Plus Tax." Some nice beats on display here.
