Scott Kirby weaves a wonderful combination of the classic ragtimes (for which he is so well-known), as well as pieces in other styles (tango, meringue, mazurka and waltz), into a tapestry of great music. This CD simply flows from one piece to the next, always inviting you to enjoy the current work and leaving you eager for the next.

I purchased this CD several years ago. I really like the "new ragtime" (also known as "terra verde") sounds because the music is a meld of so many different kinds of Latin, North and South American, Black, Creole, and Classic Ragtime rhythms.

Scott Kirby is the piano soloist on this CD. His style is crisp and flawless. The music is highly "toe tapping" and every song is pleasant to listen to.

With this CD you can have a great party because everyone will be relaxed and will have a good time.
