In most of the United States, the moves on this video are generally referred to as East Coast Swing, not Lindy Hop. In most of the U.S., Lindy Hop is mainly an 8-count dance based on moves like Swing-out and Charleston. This tape doesn't have those moves. However, it does have good coverage of 6-count East Coast Swing with single and triple steps. The moves are covered in more detail as compared to other dance tapes, and so I would highly recommend it for beginners. The tape also shows several different routines using each of the moves, which is often missing from other tapes. In addition, the quality of the video and audio is high. The tape has 10 moves. Here is the list of the moves and some alternate names for them: six-beat basic in open hold, six-beat basic close hold, turn the lady under (tuck turn), return changing places (inside turn), American or push spin (left-to-right handed American spin), free spin from a close hold (free spin tuck turn), changing places from shaking hands position (two continuous triples), the 8-count wrap (cuddle or cradle with a peek-a-boo hold), Spanish arms (Cuddle with flirtation), shoulder slide (skin the cat or arm slides)
