5.0 out of 5 stars A Work of Genius, August 4, 2000

This review is from: Vol. 1-Live (Audio CD)
This is a work of superb musicianship and a staggering accomplishment in rock improvisation. If you've never heard Cream in a live setting, this is the one to buy. The solos are exquisite, particularly Jack Bruce's bass work, showcased on the extended versions of N.S.U. and Sweet Wine. Clapton is on fire on Sleepy Time Time. And Ginger Baker was never better. Words fail one to describe the multi-layered performances of these three astounding musicians. To miss this recording is to live a life unfulfilled. A must for any serious music listener.
