I first purchased a Monitor LP version of this back in the 70s when I was a college student in Russian Studies. The song selection wasn't exactly the same, but the CD has the version of "Moscow Nights" that I wanted. Since my turntable has not been operational in a long time, I'm delighted to finally locate this disc. My only regret is that "Katiusha" is not on this disc, and it was on the LP. But that's a minor complaint; I've searched record stores in vain for this CD, and finally found it here, so am ordering it now and can't wait to hear it.

I have great interest in Russian music & culture. My wife, she is Russian and I will be enjoying this CD very much.

This CD exemplifies the slavic spirit of the Russian people during the 1960's. Some especially exciting songs are "Podmoskovaya Vyechira" and "Beloved Village". The hearty atmosphere of the Soviet Union is captured in this album. I highly recommend it to anybody interested in their history and culture. ----------Comrade Schmidt

For any russophile or anyone of Russian background, this cd encompasses the most successful tunes and hits of the 60's in Communist Russia. One of Stalin's favourite's: "Pust' vsegda budet solntse" is a classic. Most enjoyable.
