5.0 out of 5 stars Let's Get Wild!, July 11, 2005

Another beautifull compilation. This time from the vaults of Capitol Records. Faron Young and Ferlin Husky (here as Simon Crum) and Bob Luman are more known for their country sides, but this recordings are outstanding. Skeets McDonald's You Oughta See Grandma Rock is a beautiful rockabilly number featuring Eddie Cochran on a guitar. Rudy Grayzell is known as an author of Duck Tail, that another rockabilly legend Joe Clay performed. But here he is feautred with a song There's Gonna Be A Ball. Songs I love the most on this compilation are Party Line and Party Kiss, a dirty rock 'n' roll, performed by amazing Johnny Fallin.
Tommy Sands was a teen idol who married Frank Sinatra' daughter Nancy, famous by his hit Teenage Crush. Here you can hear a wonderful rockabilly The Worryin' Kind and Playin' the Field.
Jerry Reed Hubbard is the guy who wrote Elvis Presley's hits like US Male, Guitar Man, Talk About The Good Times, Johnny Cash's A Thing Called Love, Gene Vincent's Crazy Legs...This is the other side of Jerry, that shows that he was not only good composer but a good performer too.

5.0 out of 5 stars Rock--A-Billy Review, May 1, 2007
This review is from: Vol. 1-RCA (Audio CD)
As with all the discs in this series the liner notes are great and the song selection is excellent. A must for any rock-a-billy music fan.
