This is the gift I give when buying something for new parents. If my girls weren't asleep by the end of "Teeter Totter" they weren't ready to go to sleep. I have worn out the tape and am now buying the CD for our 3rd daughter, (and for me.) After 7 years of listening, I still get misty eyed by "May All Your Dreams Come True". This was the first lullabye tape I bought, and now I'm always disappointed with all the others. None can live up to this one.

We're ordering 3 copies of "Rock-A-Bye". This tape has played every night in our home since 1990! Our daughter is now 11 years old, and still listens to it every night;unless,of course she's at a Sleepover Party! (She knows a great tape when she hears it!) The music is lovely, the thoughts are sweet and sentimental! This is a mainstay in our home, and a must for anyone with children! I am purchasing extra copies tonight..one for my daughter's "Hope Chest", as I know that if someday she chooses to have children she will want to sing "May All Your Dreams Come True" to her little ones! In my most wonderful memories of my child's bedtime routine will be "Teeter Totter" playing as I stroked her back; "up.... and, up...., and down"...to the music!

This is such a heartfelt cd with songs that make you realize that in all a day's busy-ness, nothing is more important that your children. I often find myself hurrying to put my son to sleep so I can have some adult time but after hearing the first few songs, nothing feels urgent anymore. The lyrics make you melt and the music is very lulling. I feel like each night, we're creating memories to last a lifetime just listening to it!

My daughter is almost 3 but has listened to these songs every night of her life. The music is beautiful and the lyrics knowing. Rocking her at bedtime while she fell asleep listening to this music has created wonderful memories for us both. I am now purchasing a copy for my best friend whose baby is due this month.

Whenever we play this CD to our baby (now 6 mo old) he instantly calms and even sleeps. It's soothing music that even adults will like. I often find myself humming the tunes during the day and singing the songs to my baby as well!

We got this as a gift upon the birth of our first child in 1995. My husband or I spent every night in the rocking chair with him listening to this tape. We had to get another one after we wore out the first when our second child came along. I think we enjoyed this tape as much as our child did. It puts you in the mood that makes you feel that everything is o.k., as long as you have the love of your world in your arms, and you are there together. Everytime I need to get a special gift for a baby, I search out this tape or C.D. I am ordering another, and I think I will get extras for my boys. Just hearing the songs brings back the best memories of the time together with both my boys. I have listened to many "lullaby" tapes since, and have never heard any that are as warm and comforting as this one.

i have never bothered to write a review for anything before,too lazy i suppose. anyway, as i listen to this cd for probably the hundredth time since my baby's birth almost 10 wks ago, i wanted to make sure that i helped promote this wonderful WONDERFUL cd to anyone who's shopping around and relies on the reviews as much as i do. this cd was a gift from my mom to my son, the first grandchild and probably one of my favourite gifts of all time. the music is so soothing and the lyrics so loving and heartfelt that i listen to the cd in the car on the way to work...after i've already left the baby with the nanny! :-) if you're looking for a cd with great lyrics (especially listen to 'Rock-a-bye'), catchy tunes (i must repeat 'Teeter Totter' at least 3 times per cd play!), and singing that is gentle and sweet but not annoying or cheesy in any way whatsoever, you'll love this cd.

I purchased this in 1988 when our first daughter was just weeks old. We wore it out, bought another one and I am now purchasing more for when our four children have children. They love it as much as we do, and the memories are so strong that are evoked from this cassette I cannot stop the tears from flowing when we listen to it today. The absolute best.

I absolutely love this lullaby CD. I got it when I had my first child and used it regularly when I had my twins. I still like to listen to it! Beautiful music.

We received this audio (cassette) as a gift. Our daughter has listened to it at bed time since she was just weeks old. She is almost four now and still loves the music. Cassettes do not last forever therefore we wanted "back up" and were so happy to have found a CD after all these years.
