I bought both CDs, Canzoni Per Bambini, Volume I and Vol. 2-Canzoni Per Bambini, and love listening to them. The tunes are gentle and catchy because of the lovely use of classical instruments and the combination of cute children and adult voices. I play the songs every day while commuting to work, trying to pick up Italian through music, so it is great that the songs cover different topics like the alphabet, vowels, greetings, numbers, animals, colours, foods, modes of transport, seasons, days of the week, months of the week, professions etc. There are other subjects still to be discovered as I slowly translate the rest of the songs to find their meaning, well after I've memorised the beautiful tunes by heart of course.

This audio cd is exactly what I wanted for my 3 month old to start familiarizing him with Italian. The Italian is simple enough to understand if you've taken a lesson or two in Italian, and the rhythm upbeat and happy. We listen to this album at least once a day during playtime, bedtime, or in the car. I purchased the mp3 version of vol 1 & 2 via direct download.

I LOVE this CD. It covers all the important ideas for toddlers, with songs about each of the senses, movement, brushing teeth, etc. The quality of the music and singing is top notch. However, if you don't know any Italian, this won't teach you much. It is designed for people with at least some Italian language background. But if you are (at least partially) bilingual and want to teach your kids, this is highly recommended. A++

I ordered this CD to help me in my quest to learn Italian. Listening to it is a refreshing addition to the other learning tools I have such as books and audio CD's. It is truly for children but if an adult or a child were learning or just wanted to be exposed to Italian it would be fun. Fun is the best word to describe it. In addition to the music there is something akin to live conversation in conjunction with some of the songs. Note that they are basic songs like brushing your teeth, ABC's, a song about Pinnocchio that covers many body parts, one about nature with rivers, mountains and animals. Kid songs, not folks songs, not pop, but a lot of fun.

I bought both volumes I and II as a Christmas present for family members that speak Italian to sing/play to their baby, and then everyone in the family wanted one. Bought another copy for myself to refresh my pathetic 3 semesters of Italian and found it very easy to understand and enjoyable to sing too as well. There are a lot of children songs that can be annoying including English ones but this one is pleasant and has kids singing along every now and then. I highly recommend these CD's!

Can anybody help me? I especially need the exact lyrics for La Bella Coccinella.

Both volumes I and II contain themed oriented songs that are catchy and enjoyable for children. As a teacher of Italian to toddlers and preschoolers I have seen the success attributed to these songs. I have revolved lessons around them and have children coming back singing all the songs by memory. There are very few resources out there in Italian for children. Canzoni per Bambini I & II are smartly composed and sung beautifully by Mrs. Tennyson and complimented with children singing in Italian.

My kids love to listen to this CD, and also to sing the songs on their own. I often find children's music annoyingly saccharine, but I can happily listen to these songs over and over. Like the songs on the first volume (which is also great), these have easy, memorable lyrics that help kids remember Italian vocabulary.

As an Italian English lady with a 2yr old son!Its great tofind some Italian music that I can play to him!

Also as a Italian Teacherto children at primary and nursery schools in my area it is a great resource!
