Grand collection, Kino, part 2, January 21, 2010

The CD has 20 songs. The 1st and the last songs are both "Gruppa Krovi" ("Blood Type") which is known as "THE" song . Song #20 is "Gruppa Krovi" in English: however the voice's drowned by the music and it's hard to understand the lyrics. Several songs are nicely recorded, just as fans would normally remember them. But a few well-known songs have been re-mixed. It's still Victor Tsoi who sings them, tune is still the same, but music is completely re-done. I didn't like the result by comparison with the previous versions. New versions are weird, computerized, an attempt at techno or something like that. There are a couple of songs that I have never heard before. I didn't recognize Tsoi's voice in them. It may have been recorded by someone else after Tsoi's death from his texts/notes (?). One (or two)
song(s) were by Victor, but were not the completed studio recordings. More like an (unfortunately) never finished project by Victor Tsoi. The album contains: Gruppa krovi, Voina, Mama' my vse tyazhelo bolny, Posledni geroi, Sledi za soboi,Pachka sigaret, Trolleibus, Vopros avtorski, Ya ob'yavlyayu svoi dom, Pechal', Stuk, Mama anarkhia, Eto ne lyubov', Spokoinaya noch, Prosnis', Boshetunmai, Vremya est' a deneg net, Malysh, Ran'she v tvoih glazah zazhigalis kostry, Blood type.
All in all: I have got this CD (and several others) and I am keeping it ;-)
