Someone wrote that John sounds like mf doom... Not even close in my opinion. I was hearing as far as his voice and delivery, a lot of Keith Murray minus the high and lows in vocal inflection. John is definitely an MC's, MC... I am very impress with his subject matter and knowledge of Self...

JR, Lil Sci, John Robinson, which ever persona is adopted, the integrity remains the same.
Admittedly I'm a newcomer to this artist, but judging from this album and the tracks I've heard him on alongside Jneiro Jarel's 'Shape of Broad Minds' group, he sounds like an MC influenced by the old skool, but also relevant enough to hang with the sounds of today.
The Leak Edition, Vol 2 showcases John Robinson's take on the 'game', but also features hot production from the likes of Flying Lotus, Madlib and I D 4 Windz, among others. Soulful, hard edged and primed for an audience who will need to listen to what JR is bringing, this is a surprisingly solid offering, definitely one I would recommend.

I was really impressed with JR's album. He has some amazing songs, and is an impressive lyricist. Short of a couple of bad songs, he puts in a solid performance. This is really more of a mixtape though, I was disappointed with some of the shorter songs. Some production wasn't very good along with the singers on this, actually just about every guest spot should not have been on the CD. Really liked the CD, I'm waiting for another CD from JR.
