5.0 out of 5 stars A Good Place to Start, April 20, 2002

This review is from: Vol. 3 - 1924 (Audio CD)
If you're into hot jazz of the '20s, then this would be a good place to start. It begins with "He's the Hottest Man in Town" -- talk about hot dance music! It also contains the hard-to-find "Tell Me, Dreamy Eyes", and his original take of "Shanghai Shuffle" -- he recorded that several times during his career. Anything on the Classics label would be an excellent representative of what jazz by a particular artist was like during a given time frame. They may be a little hard to get -- but it's well worth it!
