Crystal Bernard is doing what most actor/singers never do, she's proving to be better at her "second" career than her first. What I mean is, that this CD is so good that you will forget she is a TV actress and believe she is a music star in the making. The CD is filled with great music that is markedly different that that of her first CD, "The Girl Next Door." On that equally enchanting CD she sang modern country songs, but on "Don't Touch Me There" she tackles adult/pop. The music as a whole is very very strong. As, on "The Girl...", Bernard co-wrote most of the current album herself. She has a gift for writing great songs that put a twist on the pop-formula. Her songs show a depth that is rarely heard on the radio airwaves today. But, she never sacrifices the sweet sound of her music to say the words. Every song on this CD, which she co-produced as well, smells like a potential hit. The first single and title song is a heart-breaking poem of getting over the pain of a former love. Other fabulous cuts include: "To Dream Without You," "Here's Looking at You," and "Love Never Dies." Truth be told, there is not a weak song on the album. With the proper promotion, Miss Bernard is poised to make major waves in the music business. If your a fan of Sheryl Crow, Paula Cole or Jewel, you will love this CD. Go pick it up!!

I really enjoyed her first album, so I had to pick up the second. My favorite song is "What I Did For Love". I felt it was true to life. It really hit home. I was also impressed that she cowrote most of the tunes. I would like to hear more from her producer and song writer David Rhyne. He seems to have the right stuff when it comes to making albums.

One of few modern albums that is listenable all the way through !!!

Crystal is more famous as an actress but this album demonstrates her considerable musical talents. Crystal wrote two of the songs alone and co-wrote five of the others with her record producer, David Rhyne. The music may be described as easy-listening pop-country music.

The opening track, Hey, is about a former lover who decides he wants to return, but Crystal isn't going to allow that. Next comes the title track, also about a former lover (perhaps the same one) who Crystal wants to stay away but he still has an effect on hrr, so it's not as simple as she would like. After this comes a song (We don't live there anymore) that reminisces about the good times that are long gone.

Crystal cheers up on the next track (To dream without you), a happy duet with country singer Billy Dean. The next song (Here's looking at you) seems at first to be a happy song, but it later becomes clear that the man that Crystal remembers so well is no longer interested in her. Next comes a song (Love never ends) about a woman whose partner died six years ago but she still remains faithful. Then comes a sad song (Gardenia) about somebody who had a brief moment of fame that was never recaptured.

Another sad song (Music biy) is about a woman who declines the offer of marriage because she tried before with somebody else but failed and decided to remain independent. Next is a song (Something to go on) about the start of a relationship, where Crystal wants to know if the man is serious or not. The album closes with a duet (If you need a touch) in which Crystal and her father recommend placing faith in God.

Crystal never established herself as a major singing star but she didn't need to and maybe didn't want to. This was her second and (as far as I know) last album, but it is definitely worth a listen.

With her sophmore effort, Crystal Bernard manages to improve on her unique blend of soft country and adult contemporary, with the album focusing particularly on the latter. While all the tracks are indeed strong, the little heard single "Something to Go On" and the wonderfully sentimental and true to life "Music Box" are a cut above the rest. Be sure to check out this labor of love from an extraordinarily gifted artist. After all, Ms. Bernard is one of the few actors turned singers who actually records simply for the love of music.

My husband bought me this CD for my birthday. I was such a big fan of the NBC series "Wings". I had no idea Ms. Bernard could sing until her duet in 1995 with Peter Cetera ("Forever Tonight"). "Don't Touch Me There" is a wonderful CD. I can't stop listening to it. The title song makes me cry everytime I hear it. She draws you in with every word and makes you feel like an old friend. A sweet surprise is her gospel duet with her dad called "If You Need a Touch". You can see where she gets her singing talent! If you haven't purchased this CD because she's known as a Country artist, get it anyway. I'm not a Country Music fan, but I really enjoy this CD. There are different types of music styles on it - something to please just about anyone. I can't wait for her next release!

I own both albums and I've listened to them with great pleasure many, many times. This album is the better of the two, but both are very good. Much better than many other contemporary debut albums. This one was out of stock at Amazon, but I found it through another outlet. She is an unexpected and brilliant talent. So how do we get her to record more? I'd buy more in a heartbeat.

Crystal is by far one of the most diverse and talented singers in the industry today. "Don't Touch Me There" is the perfect display of Ms. Bernard's vocal range, writing ability and all around talent. This album is IMHO the best ever and if anyone doesn't have it you have to pick it up or you'll be missing out on a brilliant piece of work!

I've listened to Crystal's new CD a few times now and have really enjoyed it. Her voice is even richer than on her first CD (which I'd also recommend) and the album has some great material. She's written several (if not most) of the songs herself and they've got wonderful content. Buy it -- you'll like it!

What a wonderful CD! I've enjoyed her talent on television but was amazed at her voice. Her music is strong and emotionally felt. Truly a masterpiece.
