Nothing Short Of Old Fashion!,
By Jake FOGERTY (British Columbia, Canada) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Vol. 4-50 Years of Bluegrass Hits (Audio CD)
This disk contains 25 songs that will take you back in time. The music will give you a feeling of good old fashion bluegrass know how. There is a reason why banjo picking music appeals to some people and this a fine example as to why. There are a few surprises on this disk, one of which is rendition of the Animals, "House of the Rising Sun" by Mark Wiseman. His voice has this soulful feeling that comes from the heart. The music is paced to give you the impression that you are following behind a funeral procession in New Orleans. I like it for it's sad and blue flair. This disk has a little bit of everything on it, to make you smile, cry or dance.
