4.0 out of 5 stars Classy lady, September 25, 2001

This review is from: Vol 7 La Danse De Zorba (Audio CD)
Oooh, this is wonderful - sounds even better if compared to Dalida's previous collected 1960's work that had too much of lightweight pop material of the day.On this CD finally lady's strong personality comes in touch with classy material which is not far removed of Dusty Springfield sound at the same time.OK there are a few uptempo novelties just to remind the listener we are in 1960's,but in general the material here is much better than before - her jazzy cover of Mina's "Come Simfonia" sounds even better than original!Through these songs Dalida came across as sensual, passionate, gentle and vulnerable artist whose romantic side is irrestible - together with few of her first "Orlando" compilations this must be one of the best CD's.If you like your Diva dramatic, big voiced and wrapped up in big orchestration, this one is for you.
